We believe in the sufficiency of scriptures to help real people with real-world problems (2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 8:31-32). We offer free Biblical counseling to help people with problems in their relationships (marriage, parenting, work, etc), personal problems (anger, worry, substance abuse, pornography), and grief from innocent suffering. What to Expect:
It will be a Bible study - If you do not believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, that is ok. It is a place to start. We believe that God is good and has not only offered eternal salvation, but also freedom from the ensaring sin that is weighing you down. We will be reading Bible passages together that will help with your situation. Because we never charge for Bible studies, counseling sessions with us are always free of charge. All we ask is that you seriously consider God's word and if you find it to be true, to work hard to apply it to your life.
There will be homework - Each week, we will assign you five pieces of home work that will include 1) praying daily for your situation, 2) a Bible passage to read three times during the week, 3) memorize a helpful Bible verse for your situation, 4) read an assigned Bible-based article or chapter of a book designed to help with your situation, & 5) attend a worship service and be ready to talk about what was said in the service. We are providing our time and will be praying for you. In exchange, we expect you to do the homework.
The goal of our insruction is love (1 Timothy 1:5) - This will not a client/professional relationship. We are wanting to you to grow closer to God and be part of his family with you. We want to build a relationship that will be life-long and stretch into eternity.
